Loop’s latest features make email real-time again

An exciting week for Loop lovers, we’ve just launched new features that will make email within Loop even more intuitive and effective for office workers. While we’re all a slave to email as the proprietary business communication platform, Loop is the one place that’s making email work harder for you, bringing messages, emails and files together.

Loop is built on top of email, the tool we all use, but armed with the intelligence and engagement needed to support the fast paced world we work in. And today there’s three new features that will bring Loop, and your office communication, to life and make it even sweeter.

Real-time: For the first time in email

As well as creating a way to include team members easily, there’s also now a way of communicating in real time. Knowing when people are online and when they’ll be getting back to you is one of the most important elements of Loop yet.

One of email’s biggest disadvantages has always been not knowing who is online and active. When you send an email you can only hope for a quick response – or even a response at all! Once you hit send the email goes off into the ether with no idea when or if you will get a reply.

We hate this element of email so much that we’ve built in a functionality to know who is typing a response in real-time and we LOVE it. It has made email communication, especially amongst teams, so much more engaged and effective. Find out more about real time communication here.

Live Loops: Every email is an opportunity

Since we first launched our users have been loving the “Loop In” button. The button that enables people to discuss emails in a private chat. A forward and BCC in one, like a side note but it doesn’t duplicate the entire email thread.

We’ve now supercharged this feature with “Live Loop”. Now you can engage in a chat conversation about an email and anyone who is looped in can respond to the email without creating duplicate threads. And it’s not just one person, you can Live Loop in an entire team of people.

As an example, following a new customer enquiry to the sales team, the account management team can all be Looped in Live for a seamless customer experience. No new email threads and multiple conversations. Whoever is in the position to respond first can do so, going back to the new client simply by engaging with the email keeping communication simple and efficient. Learn more about it here.

Loopbot: The new email assistant

Last but by no means least, we’re introducing Loopbot. Our new bot assistant. His one and only job is to make your life easier, particularly when you’re setting up Loop so you can make the most of all the features. He can be known to be quite demanding and doesn’t take no for an answer! But he’ll soon learn more about how you use email, what you need from him and he’ll help you get set up and start using the app in no time.
